Tour Description:

The Arenal Hanging Bridges tour takes you through a 600-acre (243-hectare) reserve, filled with lush vegetation and a diverse range of wildlife. The 3.2 km trail crosses 10 fixed bridges and 6 hanging bridges, ranging in length from 16 to 328 feet (5 to 100 meters) and reaching heights of up to 180 feet (55 meters). These bridges allow you to explore the different layers of the forest—undergrowth, sub-canopy, and canopy—offering a unique opportunity to observe a variety of species. The trail is well-marked, with a maximum slope of just 7 degrees, and it features non-slip concrete surfaces with protective rails, ensuring safety and comfort as you walk, even at heights. With a professional bilingual tour guide, you will enjoy this amazing hike through the rainforest, all while admiring the majestic Arenal Volcano right in front of you. This reserve is home to thousands of species, including trees, flowers, plants, insects, mammals, reptiles, frogs, and more, living in perfect ecological balance. This tour is perfect for families, older adults, or couples looking for an accessible yet immersive experience through Costa Rica’s rainforest.
