Tarcoles is the perfect stop on the way to Manuel Antonio to enjoy more of wildlife and have a break in the middle of the way to your destination. Rio Tarcoles runs by the Carara National Park and is famous for its large Crocodiles. You can either observe the crocodiles from the Tarcoles River Bridge or take a croc tour. The fascinating crocodile safari takes you through the river by boat and bilingual guides show you hair-raising tricks.
The Carara National Park
– The Park without a doubt is a unique place in the whole country. The park is around a diversity of flora and fauna, where converge typical species of dry and humid forests.
This park is a worldwide known birding destination. It is certainly one of the major sites in the country for birdwatching. It is the first national park in having a universal access trail, where the visitor can live the experience of being in the forest, large trees, and see the relationship between some of the species.
